If the Red Lion Lions were feeling good  off their  57-30 takedown of the Hershey Trojans on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Red Lion fell  46-35 to West York Area on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Red Lion can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings  (they are ranked 402nd, while West York Area is ranked 155th).
 Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Julia Sedora, who  scored four points along with six  rebounds and five  steals. Another player making a difference was  Reagan Smith, who  scored nine points along with six  rebounds and four  steals.
 Red Lion has  been struggling recently, as they've  lost five of their last six contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for West York Area, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.
 Red Lion and Hempfield will face off  at 7:30  p.m.  on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for West York Area, they will be playing at home against Eastern York at 7:30  p.m.  on January 5th.
