Cathedral Catholic had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 14-10  on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the St. Augustine Saints by a score of  7-4. This was a revenge game for the Dons: when they faced off against the Saints  on Tuesday, they had to take a  3-2  defeat.
  Ty Daniels was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  double. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April.  Max Stewart also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
As for St. Augustine,  with the  loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-9-1. Saints fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Cathedral Catholic since  on Thursday.
On St. Augustine's side, they got a good showing from  Declan Higgins, who   tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Higgins has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in 12 consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, St. Augustine saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Mikey Ruiz, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  run.
 Cathedral Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  5-0  victory against Point Loma on the 12th. As for St. Augustine, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  5-1  win against Coronado on the 14th.
