The Aptos Mariners are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Christopher Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. Hopefully Aptos focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Aptos was fully in charge, breezing past Pajaro Valley 47-19 on the road. 47 seems to be a good number for Aptos as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Aptos can attribute much of their success to Gabby Wickham, who scored 14 points along with 5 assists, and Laurel Southall, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds. The contest was Southall's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Grace Townsend was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Christopher didn't have too much trouble with Hollister on the road on Saturday as they won 70-54. The win made it back-to-back wins for Christopher.
Aptos' victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Christopher, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
