Higley's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cadence Murdough, who posted seven points along with ten boards and four steals. Murdough is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 16 games she's played. Claire Greenwade was another key player, putting up 14 points.
Even though they lost, Higley was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. This was only their eighth loss (out of 24 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gilbert to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isabella Ivy, who put up 19 points in addition to six boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aspen McClees, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Higley's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Gilbert, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.
