The Conestoga Christian Cougars suffered their biggest defeat since December 20, 2023 on Monday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 49-24 walloping at the hands of Octorara Area. Conestoga Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Octorara Area apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Conestoga Christian saw an underclassman step up: Lacey Constable scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Constable pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Conestoga Christian's defeat was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Octorara Area, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Conestoga Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Coventry Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Coventry Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. As for Octorara Area, they will head out on the road to challenge Linden Hall School for Girls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
