Trinity Classical Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Desert Christian by a score of 6-3. Trinity Classical Academy hasn't had any issues with Desert Christian recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Maddox Rice tossed a big game, pitching 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).
At the plate, Aiden Visconti was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Cade Herta, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, Vasquez unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Palmdale by a score of 5-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Joshua Bauer was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Bauer was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base.
Bauer wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Vince Ortiz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Trinity Classical Academy's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Vasquez, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-5.
Both Trinity Classical Academy and Vasquez just can't seem to miss. The Knights have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. However, it's not like Vasquez struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Trinity Classical Academy took their win against Vasquez when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
