Henri Reed Dazzles in Lindhurst Loss
Henri Reed posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 216 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making five total tackles (1.0 for loss).
If history really does repeat itself, Reed might just drop another big game when he faces off against Golden Sierra on Friday. When Reed last faced the Grizzlies back in September of 2023, he rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.

While it always takes a team to win, one person punching above their weight class on Friday was Cody Mccoard. Mccoard also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making six total tackles.
Mccoard and Golden Sierra will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lindhurst at 7:00 p.m. on September 20th. Keeping Mccoard company is Preston Radich, a fellow Golden Sierra player. He rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

Walter Lewis Goes Supernova in Highlands Win
Highlands found a leader in Walter Lewis as the team took down Kennedy on Friday. Kennedy had no answer to Lewis as he threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 62 yards on only eight carries.
The win made it two in a row for Highlands and bumps their season record up to 2-0. Lewis and Highlands will challenge Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Fred Robinson Continues His Big Scoring Run Against El Camino
Rounding off our Top Five is Fred Robinson of Mesa Verde. Robinson rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Mesa Verde's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. Robinson and Mesa Verde will have plenty of time to enjoy the win as they don't play again for a while. They'll take on Highlands at 7:20 p.m. on September 20th.
