McIntosh has gone a perfect 5-0 against Dutchtown recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. McIntosh will welcome Dutchtown at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Wednesday just wasn't the day for McIntosh's offense. They fell just short of Newnan by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. Chiefs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Cougars since on Wednesday.

Will Downing spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, McIntosh saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Lutz, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Meanwhile, Dutchtown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 19-14 to Langston Hughes. Even if the Bulldogs couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Logan Leonard and Devin Kendall stepped up to the plate in a big way. Leonard went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Kendall went 2-for-5 with two triples, two RBI, and one run. Leonard has become a key player for Dutchtown: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-11 otherwise. Kayden Jimerson was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
This is the second loss in a row for McIntosh and nudges their season record down to 7-12. That patch can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Dutchtown, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
McIntosh was able to grind out a solid win over Dutchtown in their previous meeting back in March of 2019, winning 6-2. Will McIntosh repeat their success, or does Dutchtown has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
