The Class of 2025 is filled with softball talent, including reigning state players of the year, All-Americans and athletes aiming to repeat as state champions.
Below are 25 of the top seniors expected to play high school ball this spring. Selections are based on previous success, local and national honors, and athletes poised for standout seasons on the diamond.
1. Kailey Plumlee, P, Gordonsville (Tenn.)Plumlee
is one of the top dual-threat prospects in the class. The Tennessee
commit helped her team repeat as state champs in 2024 after striking out
359 batters and brought that same fear at the plate, smashing 22 home
runs and batting .551.
2. Berkley Zache, P, South Bend St. Joseph (South Bend, Ind.)The powerful right-handed pitcher has a career 44-4 mark and over 700 strikeouts. Opponents are hitting just 0.76 against the Oklahoma signee.
3. Kai Minor, OF, Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.)Coach Patty Gasso and the Oklahoma Sooner fans will love what Minor brings to the table. She can hit for average and power, has an outstanding glove and can make things happen on the base paths.
4. Ansley Bennett, P, Summerville (S.C.)The South Carolina signee and returning MaxPreps State Player of the Year was about as dominant as a player could be for a team that finished 30-0 and won its second straight state championship. She finished with a 0.16 ERA while opponents batted just .079 against her in 89 innings of work in 2024.
5. Hannah Wells, P, Coahoma (Texas)The Texas signee helped her squad go 32-0 last spring, making Coahoma the sixth team in state history to finish as an unbeaten state champion. She was a beast on both sides of the ball, batting .685 with 15 home runs while going 20-0 in the circle.
6. Elsa Morrison, C, Farragut (Knoxville, Tenn.)The Tennessee signee is one of the top catchers and hitters in the class. She struck out just once in 116 plate appearances, walked 44 times, finished with a .733 OBP and blasted 15 home runs in 2024.
7. Phoenyx Silva, IF, La Salle Academy (Providence, R.I.)The MaxPreps State Player of the Year has propelled the Rams to back-to-back state titles, including a 25-0 record last spring. In 2024, the Iowa commit batted .493 with 24 extra-base hits, 10 home runs and a .579 on-base percentage.
8. Anna Hinde, UT, Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, N.C.)The Florida State pledge is a two-time state champion. The catcher and shortstop has a career .570 average with 37 home runs, 126 RBI and 122 runs scored.
9. Lexie Hames, P, Seneca Valley (Harmony, Pa.)The Clemson commit brings power to all parts of the game. She has 629 strikeouts in her career as a pitcher and she can also smash at the plate with 22 bombs.
10. Jolyna Lamar, IF, Panther Creek (Cary, N.C.)A career .529 hitter with a lot of pop, Lamar finished the 2024 season with a 13-game hitting streak. The UCLA commit has one of the top gloves in the class playing the middle infield.
11. Peyton Hardenberger, P, Wamego (Kan.)The Kansas State Player of the Year in 2024 threw back-to-back no-hitters in the semifinals and final to lead her team to a state championship. Tennessee mowed down 30 batters in a 17-inning quarterfinal game that lasted nearly four hours.
12. Natalie Cable, P, Bloomingdale (Valrico, Fla.)Cable has nearly 950 career strikeouts heading into her senior season. The UCLA commit struck out 335 batters during her junior campaign. She can smash too, hitting 12 bombs in 2024.
13. Caigan Crabtree, IF, Melissa (Texas)The Texas pledge is one of the toughest outs in the entire country. She hit 21 home runs with a .623 OBP, 61 RBI and scored 57 runs as a junior on her way to helping her team win a state title.
14. K.G. Favors, P, Orange Beach (Ala.)The ace for the top-ranked team in the country in 2024. The South Carolina commit finished her junior year 21-1 with a 0.77 ERA and 197 strikeouts.
15. Aubrey Jones, UT, Gaylord (Mich.)The Oklahoma State commit had a junior season most could only dream of, batting .444 and leading the nation with 26 home runs and 84 RBI. In the circle she was just as dominant, going 15-0 and striking out 122 batters in 81 innings of work.
16. Lisabella Dimitrijevic, P, Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, Ill.)The Florida State signee hit .405 and went deep eight times as a junior. On the rubber, she struck out 343 and finished with 0.55 ERA in 165 innings of work.
17. Sarah Breaux, IF, Doral Academy (Doral, Fla.)The corner infielder is one of the top hitters in the country, batting .603 with 15 bombs in 2024. The Clemson commit has been playing varsity softball since seventh grade.
18. Ana Roman, OF, Hagerty (Oviedo, Fla.) One of the top left-handed hitters in the country. The Alabama commit has smashed 31 career home runs and has only been struck out 28 times.
19. Kaitlyn Pallozzi, P, Mercy (Farmington Hills, Mich.)The 6-foot power pitcher can bring it, reaching speeds in the upper 60s to low 70mph. The Alabama signee is looking to bring home a state title in 2025.
20. Brinli Bain, C, Eagleville (Tenn.)The Arkansas commit is one of the most feared hitters in the state of Tennessee and in the country. She has a career .611 on base percentage and has been walked 103 times.
21. Addi Linton, P, EaglevilleThe Ole Miss commit can bring it both at the plate and in the circle. The lefty ace has been playing high school varsity since eighth grade, winning one state title and looking to bring home another in her fifth and final year.
22. Gabi Novickas, IF, Marist (Chicago, Ill.)The Georgia signee can flat out smash. She hit 19 home runs as a junior even though she was walked 20 times. Novickas now has 37 bombs over the past two seasons.
23. Karly Meredith, P, Kaukauna (Wis.)The Virginia commit struck out over 300 batters last spring, tossed 20 shutouts and was also the team's biggest threat at the plate. She helped her team win 108-straight games before finally losing in the state semifinals.
24. Sydnie Watts, P, Austintown-Fitch (Youngstown, Ohio)The Georgia Tech pledge has led the Falcons to two-straight Division 1 state championships. She finished 22-1 in the circle with a .044 ERA and 273 Ks while batting .500 with 11 home runs in 2024.
25. Anne Wallace, C, Ridgeline (Millville, Utah)After hitting 27 home runs as a sophomore, opposing teams walked her 37 times in 2024. The Texas commit has 45 career bombs heading into her senior season.
