The Thacher Toads will head out to challenge the Grace Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thacher is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
On Saturday, Thacher made easy work of Cate and carried off a 14-3 victory. The Toads haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Henry Preloger made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Preloger was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Thacher let Cael Parker and Amos Lageschulte run wild. Parker got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI, while Lageschulte got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave Parker a new career-high. Abel Janes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Thacher was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cate only posted a batting average of .158.
Meanwhile, Grace had just enough and edged out Channel Islands 5-3 on Monday.
Nathan Ikenouye spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on eight hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nathan Halvorson, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Jack Mazza also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Thacher now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Grace, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Thacher has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Grace struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Thacher couldn't quite finish off Grace when the teams last played back in April of 2025 and fell 5-3. Can the Toads avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
