LaFayette came out on top against Adairsville on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Ramblers never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. With that victory, the Ramblers brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Addi Hogue made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Emma House was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Brooklynn Myers was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

LaFayette was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive games.

LaFayette's record is now 5-2. As for Adairsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. LaFayette is set to square off against their familiar foe Calhoun at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Adairsville will challenge rival Gilmer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
