Yale has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. The Yale Bulldogs and the Port Huron Red Hawks will round out the year against one another at 8:00 p.m. on Friday at. Hopefully Yale is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Port Huron in Michigan (Yale is ranked 117th, while Port Huron is ranked 302nd).
Last Friday, Yale was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to Utica Ford. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Yale has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Port Huron waltzed into their contest Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They managed a 60-54 victory over Croswell-Lexington.
It was another big night for Garrett James, who scored 35 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. The matchup was his sixth in a row with at least ten points.
Yale's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-1. As for Port Huron, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3.
Yale might still be hurting after the 56-35 loss they got from Port Huron in their previous matchup back in December of 2017. Can Yale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
