Casa Roble came tearing into Friday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the El Camino Eagles. Considering the Rams have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Preston Schweiger was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Casa Roble got a massive performance out of Ian Peatross, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Peatross has posted over his last 11 contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Funk, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Casa Roble was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as El Camino only posted a batting average of .238.

Casa Roble pushed their record up to 19-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for El Camino, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-23 record this season.
