After a string of nine wins, Northside's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 6-1 to the Starr's Mill Panthers. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 8-3.

Northside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Biggs, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Biggs also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Northside's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 16-5. As for Starr's Mill, their record now sits at 14-5.

While Northside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
