On Tuesday, Woodcrest Christian made easy work of Nogales and carried off a 57-36 win.
Despite the loss, Nogales still got an impressive performance from Shady Robles, who scored 20 points. Robles scored a full 55.6% of Nogales' points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ariana Martinez was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
The victory got Woodcrest Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Nogales, they bumped their record down to 2-5 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Woodcrest Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ontario Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Ontario Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Woodcrest Christian in California (Ontario Christian is ranked 12th, while Woodcrest Christian is ranked 846th). As for Nogales, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ontario at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
