The Quartz Hill Royals fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Knight Hawks on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 65-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. Quartz Hill has not had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Ashantee Palmer and Mandy Frozina certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Palmer scored 33 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Frozina dropped a triple-double on 11 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Palmer has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Samiia Cody, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
Quartz Hill dropped their record down to 14-14 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Knight, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-13.
Quartz Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Knight also has no future games currently scheduled.
