Temecula Prep is 8-0-2 against California Military Institute since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Patriots will host the Rough Riders at 2:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Temecula Prep has three straight victories, California Military Institute has 27 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Temecula Prep barely beat Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Patriots were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Mustangs on Thursday. Considering the Patriots have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Braden Litt and Noah Scarlett made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Litt pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Scarlett tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. At bat, Litt got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Scarlett went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Scarlett is becoming a predictor of Temecula Prep's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-6 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Ryan Gomez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Cody Servin was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs.
Meanwhile, California Military Institute fell victim to Nuview Bridge and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 18-0.
