The Patriots dropped to No. 21 with the defeat, but could drop further depending on Estero's play the rest of the tournament.
Meanwhile Barbe (Lake Charles, La.), the top seed in the Louisiana Class 5A state championships, fell to West Monroe in the quarterfinals. The loss had to drop the Bucs all the way out of the top 50 since West Monroe had over 10 losses on the season and promptly lost its next game in the playoffs.
The top six teams all remained the same with only Owasso ending its season. The Rams claimed the 12th state championship in school history with a 5-1 win over Norman North.
