The Temescal Canyon Titans will square off against the Elsinore Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Temescal Canyon will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Temescal Canyon's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past San Jacinto 9-0. Considering the Titans have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Tristan Skaggs-Whittle tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, Temescal Canyon let Jonathan Reece and Gannon Gonzales run wild. Reece went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Gonzales went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave Gonzales a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Dixon, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Elsinore unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Cornerstone Christian by a score of 4-3.
Elsinore also got a good showing from Isaiah Henderson, who struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Henderson has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Elsinore saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Stankus, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. Edgar Lopez was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Temescal Canyon pushed their record up to 20-3-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Elsinore, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.
Temescal Canyon skirted past Elsinore 4-3 when the teams last played back in March. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
