Softball Recap: Falcon Takes a Loss

Falcon dropped down to 9-11 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 19-2 to the Vista Ridge Wolves. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 10-9 to the Wolves when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Falcon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michelle Morales, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

As for Vista Ridge, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Vista Ridge's side, Aaliyah Garcia was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave Garcia a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jocelynn Kalkman, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Falcon will square off against The Classical Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 10.7 runs per game this season. As for Vista Ridge, they will challenge Pine Creek at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
