Kinston came into Friday's   matchup looking for another win against Ayden - Grifton, but  Nygel Morgan wouldn't allow it. The Chargers walked away with  a   33-21  win over the Vikings  on Friday thanks in part to  Morgan, who picked up 111 receiving yards and a pair of  TDs, and also punched in one  score on the ground. He also  hauled in two  receiving touchdowns, which is notable because Ayden - Grifton is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  receiving touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
 Ayden - Grifton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Morgan,  EJ Ruffin,  and  Brandon Prayer picked up one apiece. Morgan got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
 Despite the loss, Kinston still got an impressive performance from   Tyreek Copper, who picked up 174 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns. Copper was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 51 yards.  Tyler Jones was another key player, having thrown for 314 yards and two touchdowns.
Ayden - Grifton's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 4-2. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 34.3 points over those games. As for Kinston, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
