Basketball Recap: Bullard Skates Past Torres with Ease

Bullard won against Hoover last Thursday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Bullard Knights blew past the Torres Toros 65-25. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 23 points or more this season.

Bullard was led to victory by Caris Williams and Sanai Herod. Williams went 9 of 21 en route to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals, while Herod went 7 for 16 on her way to 14 points along with seven boards and four steals. That's the most points Williams has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Joice Koko, who posted 11 points.

Bullard was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Torres only racked up ten assists.

Torres' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JLynn Mitchell, who had seven points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Ariana Garcia, who put up eight points and nine rebounds.

Bullard is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Torres, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6.

Bullard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-12 victory against Roosevelt on the 23rd. Torres has also already played their next game, a 46-27 win against Sanger on the 23rd.
