Bernstein is 0-10 against Hollywood since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Bernstein Dragons will be playing at home against the Hollywood Sheiks at 4:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Bernstein is ranked 628th, while Hollywood is ranked 617th).
Bernstein suffered their biggest defeat since November 10, 2023 on Monday. They were outmatched by Madison at home and fell 60-25. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bernstein has scored all season.
Bernstein's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Odali Rivera, who scored 11 points, and Valerie Urrutia who scored nine points. That was a full 44% of Bernstein's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Hollywood stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard last Monday. They really took it to Roybal for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-13 win on the road. The win was just what Hollywood needed coming off of a 34-13 defeat in their prior match.
This is the second loss in a row for Bernstein and nudges their season record down to 13-6. As for Hollywood, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Bernstein couldn't quite finish off Hollywood when the teams last played back in November of 2023 and fell 50-48. Will Bernstein have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
