Arcadia is a perfect 10-0 against Hoover since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Apaches will square off against the Tornados at 3:45 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Arcadia has five straight victories, Hoover has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Arcadia came out on top against Muir on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run sixth inning. The Apaches were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Mustangs. The result was nothing new for the Apaches, who have now won four games by nine runs or more so far this season.
Damian Catano was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Julian Salmon, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run. Jordan Vogel was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Arcadia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Hoover didn't have quite enough to beat de Toledo on Monday and fell 8-7.
Kieran Sinta and Isaiah Magana did some serious damage despite the final result: Sinta went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Magana went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jacob Vangor, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Arcadia's record now sits at 6-2. As for Hoover, they now have a losing record of 4-5-1.
Everything went Arcadia's way against Hoover when the teams last played back in March of 2025, as Arcadia made off with a 31-1 win. Do the Apaches have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tornados turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
