After two games on the road, Shafter is heading back home. They will take on the Wasco Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Shafter beat Kennedy 3-1. That's two games straight that Shafter has won by exactly two goals.
They hit Kennedy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Ayanna Frazier,
Teresita Pelayo, and
Alexis Esparza Ponce.
Meanwhile, Wasco put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Taft as Wasco made off with a 4-1 win. The victory was familiar territory for Wasco who now have three in a row.
Shafter's victory bumped their record up to 13-9-2. As for Wasco, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7-3 record this season.
