The Jamestown Muskies's found some homefield redemption this week after a tough overtime loss to the Rocky Grove Orioles on Monday. Jamestown came out on top against Iroquois by a score of 49-38. For Jamestown, this counts as revenge for the 28-14 loss Iroquois walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Jamestown's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alayna Cadman, who scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Makayla Williams, who scored 14 points.
Jamestown's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1. As for Iroquois, they bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Jamestown will challenge Commodore Perry at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Commodore Perry focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Tuesday. As for Iroquois, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Titusville at 12:00 p.m. Titusville comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
