Truckee is a perfect 10-0 against Hug since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Wolverines will look to defend their home field against the Hawks at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Truckee's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Hug has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

On Monday, Truckee was able to grind out a solid victory over Wooster, taking the game 7-4. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Colts recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Parker Bacon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Calder Finn was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Travis Dailey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Hug's offense. They came up short against South Tahoe on Friday, falling 15-0.

Hug's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Truckee, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.

Hug's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Truckee hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. It's a different story for Hug, though, as they've only averaged .207. Will they be able to contain Truckee's hitters?

Everything went Truckee's way against Hug when the teams last played on April 5th, as Truckee made off with an 18-0 win. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
