Crenshaw is 8-2 against Dorsey since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Crenshaw Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dorsey Dons at 6:00 p.m. Crenshaw has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
In what's become a running theme this season, Crenshaw gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fremont 72-15 at home. Crenshaw's victory was all the more impressive since Fremont was averaging only 29.88 points allowed on the season.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Dorsey, who are still winless after their sixth contest. They were outmatched by George Washington Prep on the road and fell 59-8. While losing is never fun, Dorsey can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 939th, while George Washington Prep is ranked 418th).
Crenshaw is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Dorsey, they bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Crenshaw against Dorsey in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 113-3 win. Will Crenshaw repeat their success, or does Dorsey have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
