 Meanwhile, Cartersville came tearing into  Saturday's  matchup with three straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They beat the Colonels by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  6-2.
 Centennial has  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last eight games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record  this season. As for Cartersville, they pushed their record up to 22-4 with that  win, which was their 30th straight  at home dating back to last season.
