The North Allegheny Tigers will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Norwin Knights at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (North Allegheny is ranked eighth, while Norwin is ranked 15th).
Last Sunday, North Allegheny beat Central Dauphin 32-23. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points North Allegheny has scored all year.
Meanwhile, Norwin came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Mt. Lebanon with points to spare, taking the game 53-37.
North Allegheny pushed their record up to 14-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Norwin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
North Allegheny came up short against Norwin in their previous meeting on January 2nd, falling 47-42. Can North Allegheny avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
