The York County Tech Spartans kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They suffered a tough 42-21 defeat at the hands of Dover. York County Tech lost against Dover in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 57-28 score last time.
York County Tech's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Le'Icessess Harrison, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Marissa Parker, who scored 7 points along with 10 rebounds and 3 steals.
York County Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Dover, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
York County Tech won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. James at 6:00 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Dover, they will take on Gettysburg at TBD on Saturday.
