Baseball Recap: Red Springs' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Red Springs can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past the Seventy-First Falcons 17-7. The Red Devils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

Xzavier Sinclair was incredible, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, two triples, and one stolen base. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Terry Locklear, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Red Springs' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Seventy-First, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Red Springs will be playing in front of their home fans against Forest Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seventy-First, they will venture away from home to challenge South View at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give South View their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
