The La Salle Lancers lost to the South Pasadena Tigers back in December of 2021, but the La Salle Lancers didn't allow the South Pasadena Tigers the same satisfaction on Saturday. La Salle came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 57-49. The win made it back-to-back wins for La Salle.
Audrey Chen continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with six rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Casey Higgins, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
South Pasadena's loss came despite strong showings from Dylan Tse and Kayla Boozer. Tse scored 25 points along with five rebounds, while Boozer dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Tse has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 22 times she's played. Jamie Rain Kim was another key contributor, scoring six points.
La Salle's victory bumped their record up to 21-4. As for South Pasadena, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 21-4.
La Salle will play host again and welcome the Belles, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Pasadena, they will head out on the road to take on the Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Blair will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1241st, while the Tigers are ranked 60th).
