Le Grand barely beat Denair the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Le Grand put the hurt on Denair with a sharp 11-1 win on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won six contests in a row.
Diego Martinez was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
