It was a good run, but Gunn unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 16-6 to the Berkeley Yellowjackets.

Cyrus Silva Rezvani was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Silva Rezvani wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sam Bogart, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Bogart has posted since back in February of 2024.

Gunn's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Berkeley, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Gunn didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 win against Homestead on the 26th. As for Berkeley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 12-4 defeat against Las Lomas on the 20th.
