Basketball Recap: Isaiah Harrison-Lizbinski's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Parkway Christian over Roeper

Parkway Christian fought the good fight in their overtime game against Roeper on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Roeper Roughriders by a score of 54-52. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Roughriders are ranked 595th).

Parkway Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Harrison-Lizbinski, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds Harrison-Lizbinski has posted since back in January of 2024. Nathaniel Harrison was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards.

Even though they lost, Parkway Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Parkway Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4. As for Roeper, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-8 record.

Parkway Christian has already played their next game, a 60-32 victory against Lutheran on the 30th. As for Roeper, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 51-38 loss against Lutheran Northwest on the 29th.
