In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Roeper Roughriders basketball team scored a close 54-52 win over the Parkway Christian Eagles.

The Roughriders (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lutheran Northwest (Rochester Hills, MI). The Crusaders come into the Michigan Independent - Blue contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Lutheran Northwest edged Plymouth Christian Academy (Canton, MI), 45-41, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Lutheran Warriors (Westland, MI) in a Michigan Independent - Red contest, on Thursday, January 30.
