Bedford is 8-2 against Chestnut Ridge since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Bedford Bisons will head out on the road to face off against the Chestnut Ridge Lions at 7:15 p.m.
Last Wednesday, Bedford came up short against Bishop Carroll and fell 50-38. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bedford in their matchups with Bishop Carroll: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Bedford had strong showings from Shannon Letrent, who scored 12 points, and Rebekah Costal, who scored ten points. Letrent scored a full 31.6% of Bedford's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Katie Mcdevitt, who scored five points.
Meanwhile, after only 25 points in their last match, Chestnut Ridge made sure to put some points up on the board against Fort Hill on Wednesday. Chestnut Ridge blew past Fort Hill 55-24 at home.
Bedford now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Chestnut Ridge, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.
Bedford couldn't quite finish off Chestnut Ridge in their previous matchup two weeks ago and fell 32-29. Can Bedford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
