The Pittsburg Pirates fell victim to the Liberty Lions's stalwart defense on Tuesday and couldn't make it onto the board. Their tough 3-0 defeat to the Lions might stick with them for a while. Pittsburg has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Pittsburg has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11-1 record this season. As for Liberty, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pittsburg will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Antioch at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Pittsburg's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Liberty, they will head out on the road to square off against Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
