After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northridge, Greeley West was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Poudre Impalas get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.
Amaya Cron made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in August. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madison DeVault, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hayden Atchley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
