The Selinsgrove Seals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by Shikellamy at home and fell 51-6. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Selinsgrove in their matchups with the Braves: they've now lost seven in a row.
Shikellamy found their leader in underclassman Lily Fatool, who scored 25 points along with seven steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Fatool has scored at least a third of Shikellamy's points. Blaire Balestrini was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Selinsgrove has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Shikellamy, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Selinsgrove will take on the Green Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lewisburg has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. As for Shikellamy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Ironmen at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Danville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
