NEW LONDON, Minn. - After four lead changes,
St. Croix Lutheran (West St. Paul, Minn.) took the lead for good when
David Ponath threw a touchdown to
Caleb Olson with 11:00 left in the fourth quarter and held on to upset
New London-Spicer (New London, Minn.) 48-44 on Saturday.
The score was knotted at 20 heading into the half. The Crusaders took the lead for good on a touchdown pass by Ponath to Olson in the fourth quarter.
The loss comes after New London-Spicer defeated Lourdes 36-16 last week.
