The Mendez Jaguars had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Roybal by a score of 24-17 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mendez also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
Mendez's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Roybal, they bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Mendez will take on Belmont at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Belmont comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Roybal, they will head out on the road to face off against Robert F. Kennedy Community at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
