Softball Recap: Elgin Beats Altus for Their Third Straight Victory

Elgin barely beat Altus the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Owls were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Bulldogs on Monday. The Owls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Elgin's third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Altus, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elgin will host Western Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Altus, they will welcome Lawton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
