Union Grove won the last time they faced Hampton and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Union Grove Wolverines put the hurt on the Hampton Hornets with a sharp 12-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won six contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Union Grove has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. Hampton's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Union Grove didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against Jones County on the 14th. As for Hampton, they have also already played their next contest, a 14-4 win against McDonough on the 14th.
