Baseball Recap: Chagrin Falls Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

Chagrin Falls had won three straight on the road, but on Saturday they bumped up to 17-9 to make it four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Crestwood Red Devils an 8-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Red Devils back in April, they had to take a 7-6 loss.

As for Crestwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since April 7th.

For Crestwood's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christopher Mory, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Chagrin Falls will face off against Archbishop Hoban at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Crestwood, they will take on Garfield at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
