Liberty blew Poly out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Poly got their revenge. The Liberty Bison fell just short of the Poly Bears by a score of 11-9. One positive for the Bison, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Alexander Arteaga and Austin Cholodenko stepped up to the plate in a big way. Arteaga scored a run while going 1-for-4, while Cholodenko went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most doubles Cholodenko has posted since back in March of 2024. Xzavian Mazariegos also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Liberty dropped their record down to 3-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Poly, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-4.

As for Poly, they will head out to face off against Arlington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
