While losing is never fun, Wilson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 781st, while Carson is ranked 306th).
Wilson's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alana G, who scored 9 points. Dailyn M was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Robyn Raphiel, who scored 8 points along with 13 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Monica Hayden, who scored 9 points along with 15 rebounds.
Wilson has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Carson, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1.
Wilson will face off against Marshall at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Carson, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Narbonne at 3:30 p.m. Narbonne is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
