The Brattleboro Bears lost against the St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Brattleboro had to suffer through a rough 90-49 loss at the hands of St. Johnsbury Academy. Brattleboro was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-23.
Loss or not, Brattleboro got some senior leadership from Johnathon Haskins who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds and Karson Elliott who scored 11 points. The contest was Haskins' third in a row with at least ten points. Jackson Emery was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Brattleboro's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for St. Johnsbury Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Brattleboro will head out on the road to face off against Mount Anthony at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Johnsbury Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Colchester at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
