Last Friday, Woodcrest Christian was beaten by Ontario Christian 136-29. While losing is never fun, Woodcrest Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 781st, while Ontario Christian is ranked tenth).
Meanwhile, Aquinas earned a 60-51 win over Chino Hills on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Aquinas.
Woodcrest Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Aquinas, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Woodcrest Christian might still be hurting after the 51-25 defeat they got from Aquinas in their previous meeting back in January. Can Woodcrest Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
